Is It Possible To Cure Acne?

Of all things that cause a drop in self-esteem acne is right at the top of the list. Bottom line, no one wants to wake up and see a pimple on their face! Let's look at whether it's actually possible to cure acne.
If you've ever wandered down the "acne products" section of a drugstore, you've seen the hundreds of different products that all claim to be able to eliminate acne. This industry is a multi-million dollar one as let's face it, no one wants acne!
But is it possible to cure acne with these types of treatments? Do all these creams, gels and facewashes actually work? Obviously you want to find acne treatments that work fast!
I will say this - some people see results from some of the acne treatments you find in the drugstores. But unfortunately these are typically only a temporary solution and rarely offer any type of true cure for acne.
Let me explain a little further....
Acne is an irritating condition because it seems like whatever you do you can't ever get rid of it for good. But the main reason for this is that the creams that you find in the stores are designed so that they get rid of an existing pimple that you already have. They aren't targeting the actual causes of what makes acne appear.
And that's the big problem!
I wouldn't say that it's possible to "cure" acne. That's just not the terminology that I like to use. Instead, I like to use the terms "treat" and "prevent".
Because it's entirely possible to get rid of acne and prevent it from coming back!
But you did need to find a treatment that works to target your acne and what actually causes it. This isn't going to be just a simple cream, but a full system. Acne has many different causes that you have to address in order to treat it properly.
As an example, look at the proactive acne treatment system. I don't actually think this is the best treatment on the market, but it does do a decent job from the reviews I've seen. The reason for this is that their treatment involves more than one piece and each part of it is targeting a different cause of acne.
This is exactly the type of thing that needs to be done to truly eliminate acne. Without taking this approach you're only addressing the symptoms, and not the causes.
Is it possible to cure acne? With the proper treatment you can eliminate acne and get rid of it permanently.

However, some people experience more hair loss than is normal.
Here are some tips to help you prevent Hair Loss;
  • Get dried orange leaves, and grind them into powder. Mix the powder together with olive oil to make a paste. Massage the paste into hair roots, leave it for two hours and wash it off. Apply a mild moisturizer of your choice.

  • Take a few strands of lemongrass and pound till fine. Before pounding, make sure you throw away the leafy part. Mix it with two glasses of water and bring to the boil, then leave to cool. Exposure of the skin to the sun, wind, cold and environmental pollutants for a longer period of time can cause cumulative damage to the skin. Aging of the skin due to sun is referred to as Photo Aging. Characteristics of photo aging include;
  1. Irregular Pigmentation.
  2. Appearance of dilated blood vessels in the skin, medically termed "telangiectases".
  3. Appearance of 'Age spots' which is medically termed "solar lentigenes".
Characteristics Of Skin Aging
As earlier discussed above, degeneration of elastic and collagen fibers occurs both in Chronological skin aging and in Photo Aging. These changes causes the appearance of;
  1. Fine Wrinkles
  2. Pronounced lines of Expression
  3. Skin Sagging

Exfoliating Tips

Exfoliating is vital to healthy and fresh looking skin. It gets the blood moving in your face and prepares it for toning. However, exfoliating is not a required step in the cleansing process but it contributes a great deal to the success of your facial treatments. The following tips should be followed in exfoliation process for a better result;

  • Never rub soap, lotions, oils or any other exfoliating mixture into your face. The facial skin is very thin and sensitive. Rubbing pushes the skin upwards, downwards and side to side, thereby loosening it and it causes wrinkles. Dabbing is a safer and more effective way to apply or rinse exfoliating mixtures.
  • Never use hot water on your face. Hot water can burn the skin and dry it out very quickly. Using warm water or cool water to rinse your face will leave your skin feeling fresh and will clear any clogged pores.
  • Exfoliating is most effective in the evening when the skin has had a chance to adapt to the atmosphere. In the morning, the skin can be stiff. Exfoliating will also be rewarding after a long day of work.

Skin Cleansing

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It is the outer layer of the body. It comprises of two layers, the Epidermis and the Dermis. Cleansing of the skin is basic to maintaining its health and contributes to its aesthetic appearance. The substances to be removed from the skin includes;
  • Sweat
  • Dust
  • Remains of cosmetics and makeup previously applied
  • Soot (from the air)
  • Breakdown products excreted from the skin, etc.
All these dirt are embedded in the oily layer on the skin surface. Washing with water only cannot cleanse the skin effectively. Water is repelled by oil, it is not able to remove dirt from the oily layer of the skin surface. Therefore, there is need for the use of soap.
Soap contains salts of various fatty acids such as Stearic acid, Palmitic acid, Oleic acid, Myristic acid and Lauric acid. These fatty acids are derived from animal or vegetable sources. Apart from these fatty acids, soap also contains fragrances and perfumes, antibacterial substances, coloring agents, preservatives, moisturizers,etc.

Because of soap's particular molecular structure, its particles overlay the fat droplets in which the dirt is embedded and allow to be washed off the skin with water. These soap structures, called micelles, overlay the fat and dirt particles, allowing them to be removed from the skin. The following should be observed when cleansing the skin:
  1. A mild soap, suited for the skin type must be used.
  2. Excessive scrubbing of the skin while washing must be avoided. Dead cells will definitely fall off without using abrasive substance or device.
  3. Lukewarm water should be used for the skin of the face.
  4. Avoid vigorous rubbing when drying the skin as this may irritates the skin.
  5. Wipe the face gently by dabbing with a soft towel.
However, care must be taken when selecting soap and moisturizers, because it is not all soap and moisturizer that is suitable for the skin. There are different types of soap and moisturizer for different type of skin.
